Practice
I initially became interested in psychoanalysis through my Ph.D. in Arts at the University of Melbourne, which focused on the writings of Belgian psychoanalyst, philosopher, and linguist Luce Irigaray.
My formation as a psychoanalyst and counsellor developed further through my own psychoanalysis. Soon after it began, I said to my analyst that this felt like “real work,” the work I wanted to do.
I worked with my symptom in analysis by writing and publishing poetry. My debut poetry collection “Pearl,” published by Rabbit Poetry in 2025, follows the arc of my analysis, marking the changes in transference that happened along the way. I work with clients who have blocks to creative expression, or questions about creativity in relationship to work and/or home life.
I also have experience working with clients with psychosocial disability as a mental health support worker and counsellor within the NDIS. Bringing my own study and training in contact with the sphere of the mental health system in Australia has consolidated my interest in the social and political dimension of clinical work. I make it a priority to ensure my practice is accessible by working with a broad range of clients.
I pay attention to what is unique and singular about each patient, listening with curiosity and without judgement, allowing their own rhythm and pace to guide the work. I offer the treatment of both psychoanalysis and psychotherapeutic counselling.
My practice is supported by ongoing training and supervision with the Lacan Circle of Australia and I am a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association.
I use a sliding fee structure, please inquire for more information.
